Indonesian Muslims offer Eid al-Adha prayers on the street in Jakarta, during the outbreak of Covid-19 in Indonesia July 31, 2020.

"I pray to Allah in these blessed days to grant us his care and attention, and to bring us goodness and blessings", the president tweeted.

Most Muslim-majority countries around the world, including Turkey, are observing the four-day holiday starting on Friday.

The meat is then divided into thirds; the first to be eaten, the second to be given to family members, and the third to be donated as an act of charity.

The actor usually comes with an Eid release every year, but this year was an exception due to the pandemic.

Dr Umar Al-Qadri, chair of Irish Muslim Peace & Integration Council, told the BBC he approached Croke Park after seeing Muslims in Germany earlier this year using an * a href="*/stories/236547?search_term=ikea%20muslims" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" *Ikea carpark for Eid al-Fitr prayers.

El-Sisi has also congratulated Saudi Arabia for organising the Islamic hajj "precisely and successfully" amid the coronavirus pandemic, his spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement on Friday.

This hajj is going ahead this year with around 10,000 domestic pilgrims in attendance, and with strict health protocols in place.
