Citing tests conducted by two independent certification institutes, Intertek and SGS, Samsung said its UV Steriliser (or in fact, any UV Steriliser) can "effectively" kills up to 99% of the bacteria and germs including E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans.

According to Samsung, you can operate the sterilizer with a single button. But even so, there's house to slot in the Galaxy Buds or the Smartwatch as neatly, all of which can also be sterilized inside of simply 10 minutes.

"At Samsung, we are constantly working to develop meaningful innovations that help improve the lives of our consumers". The gadget uses dual UV lights which sterilize both the top and bottom surfaces of the item that is placed inside the box. "The UV Sterilizer is a flawless and compact device to keep our personal daily belongings germ free, protected and disinfected". The device also has an inbuilt 10W wireless charger for smartphones and accessories. Samsung claims that the charging continues even after sanitization is done so that the device is not just disinfected but also charged when picked up.
