Willian is set to pen a three-year deal with the north London side which is claimed to be worth around £220,000-a-week, although it seems as though that figure includes his weekly wage, substantial signing-on fee over and the bonuses over the course of the deal.

Willian played 339 games for Chelsea, during which he scored 63 goals and made 56 assists.

Willian joined Arsenal from Chelsea.

The 2012 Champions League victor said Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta is having a "new project" with the Gunners which he wants to be a part of.

"He has the experience of everything in the football world but to still have the ambition to come here and contribute to bring the club where it belongs".

"When I talked to (Arteta), the conversation was good, he gave me the confidence to come to Arsenal". I'm very happy to do that.

The 32-year-old arrives at the Emirates having spent seven years at Stamford Bridge, where he he won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and the Europa League.

Willian also received a heap of praise from Arsenal technical director Edu, who said he would be an important addition in the dressing room.

Brazilian winger Willian has insisted that he has joined Arsenal to help them challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles.

However, the 70-time capped Brazilian worldwide was one of Chelsea's standout performers after football's return from the coronavirus shutdown to help Frank Lampard's men secure a place in the Premier League's top four. He has since represented his country at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups, the 2015 Copa America, the Copa America Centenario, and the 2019 Copa America where he was a key member of the squad that lifted the trophy on home soil.
