Although the exact terms of the exclusivity deal have not been disclosed, the revenue will be used to develop the Total War Saga series, and further diversify the company's business, Creative Assembly said.

SEGA has announced that more than 7.5 million players claimed A Total War Saga: TROY within the first 24 hours of its release.

Inspired by The Iliad – Homer's sweeping tale of romance and bloodshed – Troy focuses on the historical flashpoint of the Trojan War, bringing the conflict to life as never before.

"We were optimistic but we couldn't have predicted this level of excitement", said Rob Bartholomew, chief product officer at Creative Assembly as reported by Eurogamer. It was incredible to collaborate with Epic Games to give our product to all players at the launch. Now we can make sure that many new or old players can experience one of the experiences of this incredible series. TROY came out yesterday and was available for free for its first 24 hours.

Epic Games, one of the most popular online gaming platforms of recent times, has offered players impressive campaigns for a long time.

TROY™ is an Epic success!

If you wanted to pick the game up on the Epic Games Store, it's now available for just £34.99. If you want to get this game for free, you have until 16:00.
