Toto Wolff says he is considering whether to continue as Mercedes team principal after this season.

"I really have enjoyed many years in Formula One in my role as team principal". I think what we've built...

"I am happy that my relationship with Ola is probably as good as it can be, and we speak nearly every day and there are many factors that make me want to stay in F1". On the other side, it takes a toll, and this plays into my consideration.

"As it stands, there is no reason not to continue with Mercedes and we will find out in which role".

Asked if he could no longer run Mercedes at the helm, Wolff replied: "This is down to the discussion between Ola and myself".

He said: 'We want to do the best for the team and continue to see the team prosper.

"I enjoy what I do".

"What frustrated me was that we as the teams are not capable of really joining up in order to have a common standpoint", Toto explained.

"I enjoy what I do", he said. I like to engage with our sponsors and partners. I've been part of building with this team, part of that growth, and the strength is there through and through.

This after Wolff had slammed the proposed terms just a week ago, claiming Mercedes was the "biggest victim" of the financial changes put forward and weren't treated as the six-time consecutive world champions that they are.

"I think Lewis staying at that moment is the best he can do, and what he wants to do, he has the possibility of achieving great success going forward, winning more races and hopefully championships", Wolff said. "He has a great team there that will always support him", Wolff said.

"I've been pretty vocal after the meetings that we had within the team, to say this is what we need and these are the clarifications we need in order to move forward", Wolff said.

'I don't want to give you the spin I am leaving because that is not the case.

"It's just that I'm in a moment of reflection, where Formula One is heading, what is happening around COVID and also personal reasons".

"Susie (his wife) is in a good place running a Formula E team and that means she is away a lot - and I have been to something like 120 Grands Prix in the last eight years".

"I think Toto has been a really important part of the team and being a big part of helping the team to get to the state where it is now but just like Lewis said, it's not all about one person, we're a big team, there are so many important personnel in the team and everyone needs to be able to work together so I really agree that whatever he does", said Bottas.
