On Monday night, veteran college football reporter Maria Taylor made her NFL debut for ESPN's Monday Night Football between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.

"NFL sideline reporter or a host for the AVN annual awards presentation?" he tweeted. The longtime Chicago sports radio host deleted the tweet soon after, but not before it was already seen and shared.

Unfortunately, her appearance became a topic of conversation when Dan McNeil, a Chicago radio host, made a sexist remark about Taylor's outfit choice for the game.

McNeil worked for AM station 670 The Score. For our brands and on-air personalities that is amplified and brings increased responsibility in how we chose to use our voices.

Taylor fired back at McNeil late Monday night. saying, "Well Danny Dearest if you would like to continue making sexist comments about me.please bring your misogyny with you to the NBA Countdown double header I'll be hosting tomorrow night". Last night's tweet, and its degrading and humiliating tone to a fellow female broadcaster, was unacceptable.

"Hey ladies remember you can wear whatever you feel confident in!"

"We have the best teams in Chicago, and we must continue to hold ourselves to high expectations to continue to be leaders in our organisation, our industry and our community". We apologize to all who were offended by Dan's words, especially Maria.

Less than 24 hours after his comment, The Athletic reporter Jon Greenberg has reported that McNeil has been fired.

"The only people who can affect me are the people who love me. Let's crush the Finals".
